Welcome to the Teacher Postcard Exchange!

As members of epals, you probably have had your students write to penpals or worke on collaborative projects with other students from around the world! It's time that we teachers organize something for ourselves that we can share with our students.

How would you like to receive 25 postcards from around the world? These postcards will be written by teachers around the world sharing information about their state or country. You can use the information you receive for your own personal gain or you can use it to enhance your classroom. Perhaps you could use the postcards as models to teach the students how to address a postcard. Maybe, you can use them to teach students how to use a map. Or you may even want to use the postcard to compare and contrast from the place you live.

The Way It Works

1) Sign up on the next page by July 1, 2007. (If we do not reach 25 participants by then, we will run the project anyway with the shorten amount of cards).

2) On July 2, 2007 you will receive an email from me with all the names and addresses of the participants.

3) Write a postcard to each person on the list, excluding yourself. All postcards should be written by September 1st.

4) Wait for the postcards to begin rolling in.....

Who May Participate

Any teacher that is willing to write 25 postcards in return for 25 postcards.
